Objective To analyze the application of functional magnetic resonance imaging(fMRI)in the field of acu-puncture and moxibustion research in the past 6 years, and to understand the relevant information, research content and hot spots in this field,so as to provide reference for future research and application. Methods The acupuncture literatures related to fMRI collected by China national knowledge infrastructure(CNKI)from January 1,2016 to November 7,2021 was retrieved.COOC 9.94,VOS viewer 1.6.13 and other software were used to visually display keywords, authors and journals, and summarize and analyze the research situation. Results Through the analysis of 185 fMRI-related acupunc-ture literatures,it was found that the total number of publications increased year by year in the past six years.Li Xiao ling's team had the largest number of publications in this field, and each research team and institution had loose cooperation and no obvious cooperation network was established.Resting state BOLD-fMRI technology in fMRI is mostly used in the study of brain effect mechanism of acupuncture and electroacupuncture.Among them,73 articles belong to Chinese core journals,31 articles are based on the mechanism of acupoint brain effect under physiological state, and 42 articles are based on the mechanism of intervention effect under pathological state.Among the 19 diseases, encephalopathy and pain diseases are the research hotspots. Conclusion The use of resting-state BOLD-fMRI technology to explore the mechanism of acupuncture treatment of encephalopathy and pain-related diseases has become a hot spot.It is necessary to establish a new model of co-operation and communication between acupuncture research teams and institutions related to fMRI,and to carry out multi-disease mechanism research.
