Objective To investigate the CT findings of rare and uncommon tumors of the adrenal gland. Methods CT imaging data of 17 patients with rare and uncommon adrenal tumors confirmed by surgery and pathology were retrospec-tively analyzed(4 cases of ganglioneuroma,5 cases of schwannoma,3 cases of teratoma,2 cases of lymphoma, and 1 each of schwannoma with ganglioneuroma, angiosarcoma, and extraosseous Ewing sarcoma),and the literature was reviewed.Re-sults The male-to-female ratio of the 17 cases with rare and uncommon adrenal tumors was 12:5,and the age distribution was 7~70 years.Ganglioneuromas were mostly water-drip-shaped,and larger ones may grow in a slit-like pattern,i.e.,the"apical sign",with no significant enhancement in the enhanced arterial phase and no or mild enhancement in the delayed phase;schwannoma had an intact fibrous envelope and often showed progressive inhomogeneous enhancement;teratoma may contain fatty components and calcification, etc.;angiosarcoma commonly had large necrosis in the center, and enhance-ment was similar to that of hemangioma;lymphoma is bilaterally prevalent and was less uniform in density if larger;extrao-sseous Ewing sarcoma was mostly a large lump of uneven density, prone to cystic degeneration and necrosis, and uneven en-hancement.Conclusion Rare and uncommon tumors of the adrenal gland have certain imaging features on CT and may contribute to the clinical diagnosis of adrenal disease.
