Objective To explore the value of 2D MRCP combined with intravenous gadolinium gluumine to improve MRCP image quality. Methods Patients who received MRCP and hepatobiliary enhancement examination in our hospital for pancreaticobiliary disease from October 2022 to April 2023 were selected.70 patients were included in the exclusion cri-teria for routine MRI scan and 2D MRCP examination before the Gd-DTPA enhancement(control group)and 3 min after the Gd-DTPA enhancement(experimental group). Both groups of images were transmitted to the post-processing workstation, and two senior physicians in our department scored the MRCP images by double-blind method;Measured and compared the signal intensity(SI)and signal noise ratio(SNR)of the common bile duct, middle pancreatic duct, and the contrast noise ratio(CNR)of the common bile duct. Results The score of the experimental group(4.58±0.41)was higher than that of the control group(3.78±0.47),and the difference was statistically significant;in the control group, the common bile duct, pancreatic duct, and background tissue SI were 131.9±92.6,37.7±23.8,and 3.5±0.38,in the experimental groups, the common bile duct, pancreatic duct and background tissue SI were 146.4±101.0,45.4±29.8 and 1.8±0.21,MRCP images after contrast injection3min later, the common bile duct and pancreatic duct SI increased and the background tissue SI decreased,a statistically significant difference(P<0.001);In the control group, the CNR and SNR were 68.1± 48.3 and 12.9±12.7,in the experimental group CNR and SNR were 122.8±88.7 and 38.2±24.8,The CNR and SNR of the common bile duct and the middle pancreatic duct in the experimental group were improved, the difference was statistical-ly significant(P<0.001).Conclusion After intravenous injection of Gd-DTPA 3 min,the SNR and CNR were signifi-cantly increased, and the background tissue SI decreased, which significantly improved the MRCP image quality.
