Objective This study utilized cardiac magnetic resonance(CMR)to quantify epicardial adipose tissue(EAT)in myocardial infarction(MI)patients and explored its predictive value for atrial arrhythmias(AA)in MI patients. Methods A total of 83 MI patients diagnosed from January 2022 to March 2023 were collected.CVI-42 post-processing software was used to obtain cardiac structural and functional parameters.Patients were grouped into non-AA group and AA group based on dynamic electrocardiogram results. Results Among the 83 included MI patients, there were 34 cases in the AA group and 49 cases in the non-AA group. There were significant statistical differences(P<0.05)in EAT volume, left atrial volume, diabetes, age, body mass index(BMI),and gender between the two groups.EAT volume, left atrial vol-ume,BMI,diabetes,and age were positively correlated with the occurrence of AA in MI patients(r,>0.3,P<0.05).Mul-tifactorial logistic regression and ROC analysis demonstrated that EAT volume had the greatest predictive efficacy for AA in MI patients(AUC=0.83,P<0.001).Conclusion In MI patients,EAT is an independent predictive factor for the oc-currence of AA and has good predictive value.
