Application of MDI in Wood-based Panel Manufacturing
MDI has outstanding performances in water resistance and environmental protection as an adhesive.Meanwhile,MDI can be used as a modifier in UF to improve physical properties and production efficiency.Through proper process optimization,the application of MDI can effectively reduce the production cost.According to the requirements of different products,MDI can be used in particleboard,fiberboard and plywood in different ways,like mixing or fully adding.Through analyzing the characteristics of MDI from the Wanhua Chemical Group Co.,Ltd.,authors of this paper summarize the advantages of MDI,in order to provide references for the transformation and upgrading of MDI application in wood-based panel manufacturing.
