The Effect of Height Configuration of Office Desks and Chairs on Sedentary Fatigue
To investigate the effect of desk and chair height configuration on human sedentary fatigue,in this paper, experiments were conducted in a simulated sedentary office environment.Using a combination of subjective and objective analysis methods, the Tactilus real-time pressure distribution measurement system was used to collect dynamic body pressure distribution signals for the entire 2-hour sitting office process under 9 parameter configurations. The subjective evaluation results obtained by the free modulus amplitude estimation method were combined to evaluate and analyze the situation of prolonged sitting fatigue. The results indicated that fatigue in sedentary individuals was mainly concentrated in the shoulders, neck, waist, and upper back of the upper body, and the fatigue sensitivity and relief speed of different body parts varied a lot.The distribution value of seat surface pressure tended to increase gradually as the subject finds a comfortable sitting position. In the height design of tables and chairs, the difference in height is crucial. When the difference in height was taken as 1/3 of the sitting height and the sitting height was taken as 6 cm below the calf height, the degree of human fatigue was minimized.Properly reducing the height of the chair can relax the legs.In order to reduce fatigue, the sitting position should be interrupted within 30~60 min.
