The Readiness for Advance Care Planning and Its Influencing Factors among Patients with Advanced Diastric Cancer
Objective To investigate the current status of readiness for Advance Care Planning(ACP)in advanced gastric cancer patients,analyze its influencing factors,and provide reference for the implementation of ACP in China.Methods Atotal of 209 patients with advanced gastric cancer admitted to our hospital from March to June 2023 as the research subjects.A general in-formation questionnaire and a preestablished medical care plan preparation scale were used to conduct a questionnaire survey on them.Results The total score of ACP readiness in patients with advanced gastric cancer was(66.22±8.02),which was above the medium level;The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that age,disease course,ECOG score and educational level were independent factors affecting the readiness of advanced gastric cancer patients for ACP(P<0.05).Conclusion The preparedness of advanced gastric cancer patients for ACP needs to be strengthened,and medical staff should raise patients'awareness of the importance of ACP,while paying attention to older,shorter course,low education level and high ECOG score patients,and promoting the popularization and application of advance care plan.
