The Investigation and Influencing Factors of Parental Decision Conflict in Children with Kawasaki Disease Complicated with Coronary Artery Injury
Objective To investigate the status quo and influencing factors of decision conflict in parents of children with Kawasaki disease complicated with coronary artery injury. Methods Parents of 230 children diagnosed with Kawasaki dis-ease admitted to our Hospital from November 2020 to November 2023 were selected as research objects. There were 52 cases with coronary artery injury(the observation group)and 178 ca-ses without coronary artery injury(the control group).Self-designed general data sheet, decision conflict scale(DCS)and per-ceptive social support scale(PSSS)were used to conduct a questionnaire survey on the study subjects. The parents of children with or without coronary artery injury were compared.Pearson correlation was used to analyze the correlation between DCS and PSSS of the parents of parents whose children had Kawasaki disease complicated with coronary artery injury, and multiple stepwise regression was performed to analyze the influencing factors of DCS of the parents whose children had Kawasaki disease complicated with coro-nary artery injury. Results The scores of DCS and PSSS in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05),and the scores of PSSS were significantly lower(P<0.05);Pearson correlation analysis showed that DCS scores of parents whose children had Kawasaki disease complicated with coronary artery injury were negatively correlated with PSSS scores(P<0.05);The results of multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that parents'education level, marital status, working status, family monthly income and PSSS score of parents whose children had Kawasaki disease complicated with coronary artery inju-ry were all factors influencing decision conflict(P<0.05).Conclusions Parents of children with Kawasaki disease complicated with coronary artery injury are in a high degree of decision-making conflict.Medical staff should pay more attention to it and take targeted measures to help reduce the degree of decision-making conflict.
