Effect of cognitive behavior intervention on anxiety in patients with removable denture
Objective:To investigate the effects of cognitive behavioral intervention therapy on anxiety and stress in patients undergoing rehabilitation of removable denture. Methods:A total of 134 patients who received treatment for rehabili-tation of removable denture in our hospital from July 2020 to July 2022 were randomly assigned to a control group and an ob-servation group, with 67 patients in each group.Patients in the control group received routine oral care and guidance after re-habilitation of removable denture, while patients in the experimental group received additional cognitive behavioral interven-tion therapy based on routine care.Corah's dental anxiety scale(DAS),Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale(CD-RISC)and quantitative evaluation of quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results:After rehabilitation of removable den-ture,the DAS scores,CD-RISC scores, and quality of life evaluation scores of patients in the experimental group showed sig-nificant differences compared to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Following rehabilitation of removable denture,im-plementing cognitive behavioral intervention therapy can effectively improve patients'anxiety, alleviate pain, and reduce their fear of treatment.
