Study on the shear strength between zirconia and dentin with three kinds of adhesive materials
Objective:To study the shear bond strength(SBS)between zirconia and dentin with three kinds of adhe-sive materials. Methods:Sixty zirconia ceremics were prepared and evenly divided into 3 groups, the zirconia ceremics of each group were bonded to detin respectively using resin-reinforcedglass ionomer,AZ-Prime combined with Duo-Link resin cement, and BeautiCem SA resin cement, which were respectively recorded as group A,group B,and group C.And 10 pieces were randomly selected in each group and placed in 37℃constant temperature water bath for one day, which were recorded as before aging.Ten pieces were placed in same temperature water bath for 6 months to test the bonding durability, recorded as aging. The SBS values were tested and the fracture modes of the adhensive interface were analyzed. Results:Before aging, the shear bond strength of group A was lower than that of group B,group C(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the shear bond strength between group B and group C(P>0.05).There were statistically significant differences in the shear bond strength among the there groups after aging, group A was the lowest, followed by group B,and group C was the highest(P<0.05).The shear bond strength of all groups decreased significantly after aging compared to before aging(P<0.05).Conclusion:BeautiCem SA resin cement can achieve high SBS and durability, meeting clinical needs.
