Application evaluation of crown lengthening surgical guide in fixed bridge repair in aesthetic area
Objective:To evaluate the clinical effect of crown extension operation on fixed bridge abutment guided by crown extension guide in aesthetic area.Methods:From June 2018 to June 2022,30 patients admitted to hospital for fixed bridge restoration after crown extension surgery were randomly divided into experimental group(14 cases)and control group(16 cases).The crown lengthening operation was performed using the crown lengthening guide and the traditional empirical method respectively.The fixed bridge was repaired 3 months after the operation.Periodontal health,pink and white aesthetic index and postoperative complications were compared between the two groups at 3 months and 6 months after crown lengthe-ning surgery.Results:Six months after operation,PES score in experimental group was significantly higher than that in control group(P<0.05).The probing depth of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in complication rate between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Using a crown lengthening guide to guide fixed abutment crown lengthening surgery can improve the pink and white aesthetic effect af-ter restorative treatment and maintain the periodontal health of the abutment teeth.
