A preliminary study of the restoration effect of buccal wrap-around veneer on endodontically treated posterior teeth
Objective:To provide a basis for clinical decision making, the purpose of this study was to further investi-gate and analyze the clinical results of this buccal wrap-around veneer. Methods:Based on the inclusion and exclusion crite-ria,43 cases of endodontic treatment followed by sympathetic veneers were collected, and the success rates of restorations of different materials were recorded and analyzed at 1 month,3 months,6 months,12 months, and annually thereafter after com-pletion of the restoration. Results:Two cases of partial fracture of the restorations were observed at the follow-up visit, and the overall restoration success rate was 88.9%.Conclusion:After root canal treatment of posterior teeth,a partially encapsulated glass-ceramic veneer restoration can be used to achieve a relatively satisfactory restoration in the short term.
