Analysis of components and related factors of kidney stones in 799 patients from single center
Objective:To analyze the composition of kidney stones in patients diagnosed and treated in Beijing Ditan Hospital in recent ten years, and to provide reference for the clinical prevention and treatment of kidney stones around Beijing Ditan Hospital. Methods:The clinical data of kidney stone patients from Beijing Ditan Hos-pital from January 1st,2012 to May 1st,2021 were collected, and the stone samples of patients who met the inclu-sion criteria were determined by infrared spectroscopy. Results:A total of 799 kidney stone patients were collect-ed,among which the proportion of minors,young,middle-aged and elderly patients was 0.02∶1.72∶1.73∶1.There were 575 males and 224 females. The distribution of magnesium ammonium phosphate hexahydrate was significantly different between male and female patients(P<0.05).There were 23 patients with body mass index(BMI)<18.5 kg/m2,264 patients with BMI 18.5-23.9 kg/m2,346 patients with BMI 24.0-27.9 kg/m2,and 166 patients with BMI≥28.0 kg/m2.There existed statistical differences in stone types between the two groups(BMI<28.0 kg/m2 and BMI≥28.0 kg/m2)(P<0.05).Conclusion:In the past ten years, patients with kidney stones admitted to Beijing Ditan Hospital were high in young and middle-aged.The composition of calculi is mainly calcium-containing calculi.BMI index affected the type of stone composition.By understanding the com-ponents of kidney stones and related factors in formation of kidney stones in this region, this study can focus on high-risk middle-aged and young people, improve diet structure and reduce intake of foods high in calcium oxalate, and achieve effective prevention of kidney stones in this region.
