Comparison of the diagnostic efficacy between 18F-FDG and 18F-PSMA-1007 PET/CT dual probe imaging in prostate cancer
Objective:To explore the clinical value of 18F-FDG PET/CT imaging and 18F-PSMA-1007 PET/CT imaging in the diagnosis of newly diagnosed suspected prostate cancer and to compare the diagnostic efficiency between the two imaging methods. Methods:A retrospective analysis of 18F-FDG and 18F-PSMA-1007 dual probe PET/CT images data and clinical data was performed on 86 cases of suspected prostate cancer, and pathological results were used as the gold standard for diagnosis.ROC curve was used to analyze the diagnostic threshold of SUVmax between the two imaging methods in the diagnosis of prostate cancer, and the difference in diagnostic effi-ciency between the two methods was compared.Spearman correlation analysis was performed on serum tPSA lev-el,Gleason score and SUVmax of positive lesions, respectively. Results:According to the pathological results,63 of the 86 patients were diagnosed with prostate cancer and 23 with benign prostate lesions. The diagnostic thresh-olds of SUVmax in 18F-PSMA-1007 and 18F-FDG PET/CT imaging were 13.72 and 3.55,respectively,and the ar-eas under ROC curves were 0.874 and 0.674,respectively.The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy were 74.60%and 66.70%,95.70%and 69.60%,80.23%and 67.44%,respectively.Positive predictive values were 97.92%and 85.71%,and negative predictive values were 57.89%and 43.24%,respectively.The differences in accuracy, positive predictive value and negative predictive value were statistically significant(P<0.01).The SUVmax value of 18 F-PSMA-1007 PET/CT positive lesions was positively correlated with serum tPSA value(r=0.253,P<0.05),but not with Gleason score. There was no correlation between the SUVmax value of 18F-FDG PET/CT posi-tive lesions and serum tPSA value,Gleason score.Conclusion:18F-PSMA-1007 PET/CT imaging is superior to 18 F-FDG PET/CT imaging in the diagnosis of primary prostate cancer lesions.
