Objective To analyze retrospectively the relevant influencing factors for early-onset epilepsy in patients with cerebral venous sinus thrombosis(CVST).Method A total of 109 patients with CVST admitted to Nanyang Second People's Hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as research subjects. The patients were divided into early-onset epilepsy and non-onset epilep-sy groups according to whether they had concurrent epilepsy in the medical record system.Clinical da-ta of two groups were collected and compared. The indexes with statistical significance were included for logistic regression analysis to determine risk factors for early onset epilepsy in the patients with CVST.Result Among 109 patients with CVST,28 patients had early-onset epilepsy, accounting for 25.69%.There were statistically significant differences in abnormal electroencephalogram(EEG),pregnancy/puerperal period, intracranial hemorrhage, multiple lobular lesions and hemiplegia between two groups(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that abnormal EEG(OR=4.250,95%CI:1.667~10.834),pregnancy/puerperal period(OR=3.944,95%CI:1.426~10.914),intracranial hemorrhage(OR=5.176,95%CI:1.853~14.461),multiple lobular lesions(OR=4.062,95%CI:1.618~10.203)and hemiplegia(OR=5.067,95%CI:1.459~17.600)were all risk factors for early-onset epilepsy in the patients with CVST.Conclusion Abnormal EEG,pregnancy/puerperal period, intracranial hemorrhage, multiple lobular lesions and hemiplegia are independent risk factors for the occurrence of early-onset epilepsy in the patients with CVST.By analyzing the above risk factors,the-oretical reference can be provided for preoperative screening of high-risk population for possible con-current early-onset epilepsy in clinical CVST and taking relevant measures.
