Brain metastases from lung cancer are the most common secondary malignant tumors of central nervous system. The current treatment consensus is removing the tumor tissue to the greatest extent within the safe range through surgery, postoperative chemotherapy and local or systemic radiotherapy, but the therapeutic effect is still not satisfactory.Patient derived xenograft models can better preserve the stromal heterogeneity, histological characteristics and molecular diversity of the patient's primary tumor, and can provide new ideas and new research tools for the study of new therapeutic methods. This article reviews the establishment of transplanted tumor model, the application research of the model in lung cancer brain metastases and the limitation and prospect of the model.
