Biomarkers are indicators that can be used as objective measures of normal physiological processes, pathological processes,or indicators of response, and have a very wide range of uses, such as diagnosis, disease staging, evaluation of the safety and efficacy of new drugs or treatments and so on.Post-traumatic epilepsy(PTE),as the most serious complication after traumatic brain injury(TBI),has seriously affected human health and deserves everyone's attention. The PTE biomarkers summarized in this paper include plasma/serum and cerebrospinal fluid molecular biomarkers, imaging biomarkers and electrophysiological biomarkers,in order to improve the scientific research on PTE and provide ideas for its objective evaluation.
