Research Progress of Anode Binder for Lithium Ion Battery
In the production of lithium-ion batteries,binders are often referred to as"auxiliary materials"along with conductive agents,thickeners,etc.,but they are indispensable key materials.Their primary function is to adhere active materials and conductive agents to the current collector,ensuring electrical contact between powder particles in the electrode,as well as between the powder materials and the current collector.This article discusses the working mechanism,basic properties,testing methods,and failure principles of binders in electrodes.It focuses on the latest developments of binders in graphite and silicon anode systems,aiming to deepen the understanding of binder types and characteristics and their impact on battery technology.
