The effect of rosuvastatin on atrial fibrosis in patients after atrial fibrillation catheter ablation
Objective To investigate the effects of medium dose rosuvastatin on atrial fibrillation patients undergoing catheter radiofrequency ablation, reflecting indicators of atrial fibrosis and serum levels of chemokine and galactin-3.Methods One hundred and five patients with atrial fibrillation who underwent the first catheter radiofrequency ablation guided by the three-dimensional electrolytic mapping system in our hospital from January 2020 to June 2021 were selected as the study subjects. They were divided into a conventional group and a study group based on different drug doses.52 cases in the conventional group were treated with 10mg/d,while 53 cases in the study group were treated with 20 mg/d.After 6 months, the ventricular remodeling indicators, serum inflammatory factor levels, and degree of atrial fibrosis were compared between the two groups of patients. Results After 6 months of treatment, the levels of left ventricular end diastolic volume(EDV)and left atrial ejection fraction(LVEF)in both groups of patients increased compared to before treatment, and the study group was higher than the control group; The left atrial diameter(LAD)level decreased compared to before treatment, and the study group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).After 6 months of treatment, two groups of patients showed high sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6),and tumor necrosis factor-a(TNF)-a)The level decreased compared to before treatment, and the study group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).After 6 months of treatment, the levels of chemerin and Gal-3 in both groups of patients decreased compared to before treatment, and the study group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions Medium dose rosuvastatin can regulate serum inflammatory cytokine levels in patients with atrial fibrillation undergoing catheter radiofrequency ablation, improve the degree of atrial fibrosis, and regulate ventricular remodeling indicators.
