Effect of drug balloon therapy on the near and long term outcomes and complications of patients with diffuse long in situ coronary artery disease
Objective To analyze the short-term and long-term effects of drug coated balloon(DCB)in the treatment of patients with in situ diffuse long coronary artery disease and its influence on complications. Methods A total of 68 patients with in situ diffuse long coronary artery lesions admitted from May 2020 to May 2022 were retrospectively analyzed and divided into balloon group and stent group according to different intervention strategies, with 23 cases(24 lesions)and 45 cases(48 lesions),respectively. All participants were treated with PCI,balloon group with drug balloon and stent group with drug-eluting stent. The short-term efficacy,long-term efficacy and complications of the two groups were compared. Results The degree of immediate postoperative stenosis in balloon group was higher than that in stent group, and immediate postoperative MLD and lumen gain were lower than that in stent group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in MLD,stenosis degree and clean lumen between the two groups(P>0.05).Compared with late lumen loss, balloon group was lower than stent group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in complication rate between balloon group 21.74%and stent group 26.67%(P>0.05).Conclusions Compared with drug-eluting stents(DES),the use of drug balloon therapy in patients with long diffuse coronary artery disease in situ has less long-term lumen loss and fewer complications, and the treatment is safe.
