Rapid drug evaluation of icodextrin peritoneal dialysate
Objective To conduct drug evaluation of the efficacy,safety,economy and pharmaceutical characteristics of icodextrin peritoneal dialysate,providing evidence-based support for drug selection in medical institutions.Methods The rele-vant studies were obtained by searching Pubmed,the Cochrane Library,Sinomed,CNKI,Wanfang,VIP database,official websites of domestic and international health technology assessment(HTA)institutions,and clinical guideline databases.Based on the rapid HTA methodology and the drug evaluation method outlined in"A Quick Guideline for Drug Evaluation and Selection in Chinese Medical Institutions(the Second Edition)",a rapid drug evaluation of icodextrin peritoneal dialysate was conducted,focusing on its efficacy,safety,economy and pharmaceutical characteristics.Results Using the HTA methodolo-gy,seven systematic evaluations/meta-analyses and 1 pharmacoeconomic study were included.The analysis showed that ico-dextrin peritoneal dialysate significantly improved patient ultrafiltration volume compared to glucose peritoneal dialysate,with no difference in the incidence of rash,peritonitis,and adverse events.Based on the drug evaluation method of Quick Guide-line-2,icodextrin peritoneal dialysate were scored 72.2 points.Conclusion Icodextrin peritoneal dialysate has several advan-tages in terms of efficacy,safety and pharmaceutical properties,but its economy still needs further research.
