Semaglutide-induced acute urticaria with angioneurotic edema:a case report
This article reported a case of a 55-year-old female patient who developed generalized itching and facial ede-ma on the 8th day after receiving semaglutide,especially severe edema of the lips and eyelids,and she was diagnosed as urti-caria with angioneurotic edema.Combined with the history of the disease and the history of medication use,the patient was considered to have an adverse reaction induced by semaglutide.The patient's rash and edema subsided after stopping semaglu-tide and symptomatic treatment.Angioneurotic edema caused by semaglutide is an occasional adverse reaction,but the conse-quences are serious.Therefore the medical professionals are suggested to pay attention to the occurrence of this kind of adverse reaction,and to ask the patients about their allergy history and provide drug education.
