A case of leukocytosis induced by budesonide suspension for inhalation in a patient with abdominal infection
To discuss the identification and pharmaceutical care of a rare adverse reaction of leukocytosis caused by the use of inhaled budesonide suspension in a patient with abdominal infection. The clinical pharmacist analyzed the medication process of the patient with abdominal infection and concluded that the patient's elevated white blood cell count may be related to the use of budesonide suspension for inhalation.By discontinuing the medication, optimizing the treatment plan, and implementing pharmaceutical care for the patient, the patient's white blood cell counts rapidly returned to normal, ensuring the safety of the patient's medication.
