Clinical pharmacists participated in the treatment of a case of empyema complicated by complex infection after gastric malignant tumor surgery
This article presented the treatment process for a postoperative patient diagnosed with gastric malignant tumor and experiencing complex infections at multiple sites.Based on the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic characteristics,drug sensitivity test results,and changes in liver function,the clinical pharmacists proposed an optimized and adjusted drug treatment plan.This plan addressed drug selection,treatment duration,and monitoring for adverse drug reactions,ultimately leading to effective control of the patient's severe infection.Clinical pharmacists play a crucial role in ensuring rational drug use in clinical settings by delivering individualized pharmaceutical services.
