Meta-analysis of jieyu anshen prescriptions combined with paroxetine in the treatment of depression
Objective To systematically evaluate the effect of Jieyu anshen prescription combined with paroxetine in the treatment of depression.Methods The Cochrane Library,Embase,CNKI,Wanfang databases,PubMed and VIP databases were searched for randomized controlled trials(RCTs)of jieyu anshen prescriptions combined with paroxetine in the treatment of depression.The search period was from data base inception up to August 30th,2024.Results A total of 10 randomized controlled clinical trials with a total of 1019 cases were included.Jieyu anshen prescriptions combined with paroxetine was used as the experimental group with a total of 511 cases;paroxetine treatment was used as the control group with a total of 508 cases.Meta-analysis showed that the therapeutic effective rate of jieyu anshen prescriptions combined with paroxetine group(93.15%)was higher than that of paroxetine alone(79.33%),and the difference was statistically significant(RR=1.17,95%CI:1.12 to 1.23,P<0.05).Compared with the control group,jieyu anshen prescriptions combined with paroxetine group significantly decreased the score of Hamilton depression scale(MD=-3.64,95%CI:-4.67 to-2.62),Hamilton anxiety scale(MD=-4.42,95%CI:-5.74 to-3.10),TCM syndrome score(MD=-3.79,95%CI:-4.11 to-3.47)and the incidence of adverse reactions(RR=0.45,95%CI:0.29 to 0.69).Conclusion The combination of jieyu anshen prescriptions and paroxetine can significantly improve the efficacy for depression compared with paroxetine alone.
