Chapter 9 Application of Comprehensive Drug Evaluation in the Management of Medical Insurance Drugs and Essential Drugs at Home and Abroad
In the process of perfecting the national basic medical insurance and national basic drug management policies and systems,comprehensive drug evaluation plays a key role in the selection and adjustment of the drug catalog.By using the comprehensive drug evaluation system to evaluate drugs from multiple dimensions and levels,including effectiveness,safety,economy,innovation,and fairness,the drug catalog is determined.After years of exploration and practice,the comprehensive drug evaluation system has been gradually developed and improved.By using health technology assessment methods,innovative drugs are comprehensively evaluated to provides evidence-based support for relevant entry decision-making and clinical rational drug use.This article reviews the current status of medical insurance and essential drug use in China's healthcare system reform and briefly summarizes the characteristics of essential drug management in some countries and regions around the world to provide some help for policy formulation and specific implementation in China.Building and gradually improving a clinical comprehensive drug evaluation mechanism which is based on policy coordination and information sharing and meets the needs of multiple stakeholders participation and multi-dimensional analysis,and conducting comprehensive drug evaluation with an evidence-based approach have become important tools for drug list adjustment in China.
