Effect and 2-year follow-up of open wedge-shaped high tibial osteotomy for medial compartment osteoarthritis of knee
Objective To investigate the effect and 2-year follow-up of open wedge high tibial osteotomy in the treatment of medial compartment osteoarthritis of the knee. Methods The clinical data of 128 patients(169 knees)diagnosed with medial ventricular osteoarthritis of the knee who underwent open wedge hight tibial osteotomy in Nanyang Central Hospital from March 2019 to May 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. The knee joint scores, visual pain scale(VAS),knee joint range of motion, and imaging indicators before and after treatment before and after surgery were compared, and the complications and total knee arthroplasty(TKA)revision that occurred within 2 years were recorded. Results All indexes were improved compared with those before treatment.During 2-year follow-up,13 patients were disassociated and 6 patients underwent TKA revision. Conclusions Open wedge high tibial osteotomy has a good effect on medial compartment osteoarthritis of the knee, and the short-term follow-up is satisfactory, and the medium and long-term clinical effect needs further observation.
