Application value of ultrasound SWE technology in the differential diagnosis of TI-RADS4 thyroid nodules
Objective To analyze the application value of ultrasound,shear wave elastography(SWE)technology in the differential diagnosis of TI-RADS4 thyroid nodules.Methods Ninety-seven patients with thyroid nodules diagnosed and treated in Puyang People's Hospital from January 2022 to June 2023 were included as the study objects.All of them were diagnosed by routine ultrasound or SWE technology.With pathological examination as the gold standard,the efficacy of routine ultrasound and ultrasound SWE technology in differential diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid nodules was compared.The Young's modulus values of different benign and malignant thyroid nodules were compared,and receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to analyze the efficiency of the Young's modulus values obtained by ultrasonic SWE technique in the differential diagnosis of thyroid TI-RADS4 nodules.Results The accuracy and sensitivity of SWE in differential diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid nodules were higher than those of conventional ultrasound(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the specificity between conventional ultrasound and SWE(P>0.05).There were significant differences in Emax,Emin and Emean among patients with thyroid nodules classified by different TI-RADS(P<0.05),and ROC curve analysis showed that Emax,Emin and Emean were effective on differential diagnosis of thyroid TI-RADS4 nodules(P<0.05).Conclusions Ultrasonic SWE technique has good diagnostic efficacy on thyroid TI-RADS4 nodules,which can improve the diagnostic accuracy and reduce the probability of clinical missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis.
