Effects comparision of perforator flap repair and thoracoabdominal pedicle flap repair in the treatment of soft tissue defects in hand injuries
Objective To investigate the effects of perforator flap repair and thoracoabdominal pedicled flap repair on the recovery of hand function in patients with hand trauma and soft tissue defect. Methods Seventy-eight patients with hand injury soft tissue defects admitted to the Second People's Hospital of Luohe from October 2019 to October 2022 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table method, with 39 cases in each group. The control group underwent thoracoabdominal pedicle flap repair, while the observation group underwent perforator flap repair. The surgical related indicators(wound healing, use of antibiotics, length of hospital stay),inflammatory factors[interleukin-8(IL-8),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6)]levels,hand function scores, and incidence of complications between the two groups were compared. Results The observation group had shorter wound healing time, antibiotic use time, and hospital stay compared to the control group(P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no significant difference in IL-8,TNF-α and IL-6 levels between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the levels of IL-8,TNF-α and IL-6 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no significant difference in hand function scores between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the score of hand function in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group(2.56%,2/39)was lower than that in the control group(23.08%,9/39),and the difference was significant(P<0.05).Conclusions Compared with thoracoabdominal pedicled flap repair, perforator flap repair is more effective, which can improve hand function, accelerate recovery, reduce inflammation level and the risk of complications.
