Comparison of enhanced CT findings of gastrointestinal stromal tumors of different risk grades
Objective To compare the enhanced computerized tomography(CT)features of gastrointestinal stromal tumors(GIST)of different risk grades. Methods Seventy-two patients with GIST admitted in Xinxiang Central Hospital from January 2021 to January 2023 were selected. All patients underwent CT examination to observe tumor site, boundary, growth pattern, tumor length diameter, density, vascular display and their relationship with gastrointestinal tract, and compare the differences between enhanced CT signs of GIST with different risk grades. Results 91.43%(32/35)of low-risk patients had clear tumor boundaries and tumor length ≤5 cm accounted for 85.71%(30/35),uniform density accounted for 45.71%(16/35),no vascular display accounted for 71.43%(25/35),no communication with gastrointestinal tract accounted for 100.00%(35/35),which was higher than those of moderate risk patients[68.75%(11/16),62.50%(10/16),25.00%(4/16),62.50%(10/16),75.00%(12/16)],high risk patients[47.62%(10/21),0.00%(0/21),9.52%(2/21),33.33%(7/21),52.38%(11/21)](P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the degree of enhancement among low-risk,medium-risk and high-risk GIST patients(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in CT values of plain scan, arterial phase, venous phase and delayed phase in patients with low-risk,medium-risk and high-risk GIST(P>0.05).Compared with plain scan, the CT values of arterial phase, venous phase and delayed phase increased in sequence in low-risk,medium-risk and high-risk GIST patients(P<0.05).Conclusions Enhanced CT signs of GIST patients with different risk grades are different to some extent.Accurate understanding of the enhanced features of patients can accurately evaluate the malignant degree of patients, and provide reference for the formulation of surgical plan.
