Advances of glycosylation of immune checkpoints in studies related to immunotherapy
Objective Existing studies have shown that the participation of immune checkpoints promotes immune escape of tumors in the body, and plays an important role in the occurrence, development and treatment resistance of malignant tumors.Glycosylation is a post-translational modification process of proteins involved in regulating the localization, function and activity of proteins in cells and tissues.Immunotherapy for immune checkpoints has opened a whole new way for the treatment of malignant tumors. The study found that glycosylation modification occurred in immune checkpoints protein, its stability in immune checkpoints protein, binding regulation, immune surveillance regulation, tumor tissue immune checkpoints protein expression evaluation, and immunotherapy efficacy prediction play a very critical role. This review aims to review the glycosylated of immune checkpoints in immunotherapy-related research and provides new ideas for the clinical diagnosis and therapeutic strategies of malignant tumors.
