The expression and clinical significance of FNDC1,Napsin A,and Smad4 in lung adenocarcinoma tissue
Objective To detect the expression and clinical significance of type Ⅲ fibronectin domain 1(FNDC1),aspartate peptidase A(Napsin A),and Smad4 in lung adenocarcinoma.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 120 patients with lung adenocarcinoma admitted to our hospital from December 2019 to December 2021.Surgical resection of cancer tissue and adjacent normal tissue were collected from the patients.Immunohistochemical SP method was used to detect the expression of FNDC1,Napsin A,and Smad4 in lung adenocarcinoma tissues and adjacent tissues,and the relationship between the expression of FNDC1,Napsin A,and Smad4 and the clinical and pathological characteristics of lung adenocarcinoma was analyzed.The patient's survival status was followed up.Survival curve was drawn by Kaplan-meier method,and survival difference was tested by Log-rank test.Cox proportional regression model was used to analyze the prognostic factors of lung adenocarcinoma patients.Results The positive expression rate of FNDC1 in lung adenocarcinoma tissue was 61.67%,higher than 20.0%in adjacent tissues;The positive expression rates of Napsin A and Smad4 were 41.67%and 65.0%,respectively,which were lower than 98.33%and 90.83%in adjacent tissues,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The expression of FNDC1,Napsin A,and Smad4 was not related to gender and age(P>0.05),but was correlated with TNM staging,pathological grading,maximum tumor diameter,and lymph node metastasis(P<0.05).The median survival time(OS)of the FNDC1 negative expression group was 34 months,which was better than the 27 months of the positive expression group;The median survival time of the Napsin A and Smad4 positive expression groups was 30 months and 30 months,respectively,which was better than the 27 months and 25 months of the negative expression group;The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The univariate Cox risk proportional regression model showed that TNM staging,maximum tumor diameter,lymph node metastasis,FNDC1 expression,NapsinA expression,and Smad4 expression were factors affecting OS in lung adenocarcinoma(P<0.05).Conclusion The expression of FNDC1 is increased in lung adenocarcinoma tissue,while the expression of Napsin A and Smad4 is reduced.The expression of FNDC1,Napsin A,and Smad4 is related to clinical pathological characteristics and overall survival.
