Hot springs were extremely popular in the Tang Dynasty,mainly manifested as follows:hot springs were widely distributed in the Tang Dynasty;hot springs became one of the luxurious ways for Tang rulers to enjoy;Tang Dynasty established specialized officials to manage hot springs;there were many functions of hot springs in the Tang Dynasty,such as healing diseases by soaking in hot springs;hot springs can irrigate fertile fields and increase yield per mu.The popularity of hot springs in Tang Dynasty is related to the following factors:firstly,the influence of the popularity of hot spring culture in the Northern Dynasty on Tang Dynasty;secondly,the influence of Bud-dhist scriptures on the popularity of hot springs during the Tang Dynasty,thirdly,the influence of Taoist culture on the popularity of hot springs in Tang Dynasty.
