The Alumni Association is an organization for students living out of their hometown to contact the lo-cal community established by geographical and academic relationship.It is a representation of the emotional belong-ing of overseas students in their hometown.In August 1939,when the Anti-Japanese War was entering a phase of stalemate,Gansu Alumni Association in Chongqing was founded.Its mission was to do all it could to serve home-town and the country under the principles of Anti-Japanese War.It only connects people from Chongqing and Gan-su,but connects Gansu,which is thousands of miles away,with Chongqing on the Yangtze River.Based on the feelings of serving the hometown,it overcame the difficulties and founded Longduo magazine.Taking Longduo as the main front,it spreads new culture and enlightens new ideas,so as to realize the two-way interaction between in-land and Northwest Inland.During the period of national crisis in the Anti Japanese War,students engaged in so-cial practice,using their knowledge and youth to build a new Gansu,and combining the anti Japanese war to save the country with the patriotic sentiment.
