Reclaimed water is an effective measure to alleviate the contradiction between supply and demand of water re-sources,and has become an important water source of agricultural irrigation.Taking domestic reclaimed water as the irriga-tion water source, the paper compares the effects of its irrigation on the growth of lettuce with those of surface water(single or two kinds of water mixed),and discusses the feasibility of agricultural irrigation reuse of domestic reclaimed water. The re-sults show that the mixed irrigation(1∶1)of reclaimed water and surface water has a positive effect on the leave number and plant height of lettuce, but the discrepancy is not remarkable. The mixed irrigation process significantly increases the fresh and dry weights of the above-ground and underground parts of lettuce, and the fresh and dry weights of the above-ground part increases by 23.23%and 59.43%respectively compared with the irrigation with reclaimed water or surface water. In ad-dition,the mixed irrigation may greatly increase the contents of soluble sugar and soluble protein in lettuce.Irrigation with re-claimed water(single or mixed)can increase the nitrate content in lettuce, but it still meets the nitrate content limits stipulat-ed by the State in leafy vegetables.Overall, the mixed irrigation of reclaimed water and surface water has the most significant effect on increasing the yield of lettuce, basically confirming the effectiveness and feasibility of the irrigation process.
