In the"Twenty-Four Histories",Ming Shi is particularly voluminous among the ancient Chinese historical texts.The new collated edition published by Zhonghua Book Company in April 1974 is the best version of the book to date.However,recognizing the objective need for further improvement in its collation,dozens of researchers,mainly from Nankai University,Langfang Normal Univeristy,and the Institute of Ancient History at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences,have conducted further analysis and correction on the recorded text of this book,forming some new findings in the process of continued collation.
