Developing new quality productive forces is General Secretary Xi Jinping's strategic consideration for promoting high-quality economic development in China based on the"two overall situations".The historical materialism examines the laws of the generation,operation,and evolution of human society with productivity as its material core,revealing the essence and value of productivity and its development,and providing us with theoretical resources to examine and promote the development of production.In the perspective of historical materialism,new quality productive forces mark the transformation of the relation-ship between humans and nature,imply the increase of human subjective capacity,and support the fundamental development and progress of society.It can provide support and impetus for high-quality development,offer a vehicle and assurance for a better life for the people,and provide the core and support for a new form of human civilization.Therefore,in order to truly develop new quality productive forces,we are required to serve the development of new quality productive forces through the adjustment of production relations,promote the formation of new quality productive forces through new labor subjects,provide fertile ground for new quality productive forces through industrial optimization and transformation.
