A new method for preparing sodium hexametaphosphate by direct conversion of sodium sulfate
Sodium hexametaphosphate is a widely used functional phosphate. In order to reduce production costs,low-cost sodium sulfate and ammonium dihydrogen phosphate are used as raw materials to directly synthesize sodium hexametaphosphate. The effects of calcination temperature, calcination time and material ratio on the reaction are explored. The results show that the best preparation conditions of sodium hexametaphosphate are calcination temperature of 500 ℃,calcination time of 0.5 h,and the mass ratio of ammonium dihydrogen phosphate to sodium sulfate of 1.62.This new process has the advantages of short process and low cost, which is worth further research.
