Research on antifoaming process during fertilizer grade ammonium polyphosphate production
During the preparation of ammonium polyphosphate by ammonium phosphate and urea method, the decomposition of urea produces a large amount of carbon dioxide and ammonia gas, leading to a large amount of foaming during the reaction process, easily causing overflow and other adverse consequences such as material loss.Metal salts such as magnesium oxide, magnesium sulfate, potassium sulfate and ferrous sulfate heptahydrate are added to the slurry to participate in the reaction. The results show that adding an appropriate amount of magnesium oxide, magnesium sulfate, potassium sulfate and ferrous sulfate heptahydrate to the slurry can improve the foaming phenomenon of ammonium polyphosphate, and the antifoaming effect of magnesium oxide and magnesium sulfate is the most significant. The water insoluble matter content,pH,polymerization rate, effective phosphorus content, total nitrogen content and total nutrient content of the prepared ammonium polyphosphate simultaneously meet the requirements of HG/T 5939-2021 standard.
