Study on granulation technology of attapulgite in oil cake organic-inorganic compound fertilizer
The oil cake organic-inorganic compound fertilizer has a low rate of granulation, weak particle strength, and is prone to pulverization during transportation using the disc granulation process. This significantly impacts the overall quality of the product's appearance.Attapulgite is an effective granulation agent for compound fertilizers due to its powerful adsorption and strong adhesion. However, there is limited research on oil cake organic-inorganic compound fertilizer. This study utilized the disc granulation process to investigate the impact of varying quantities of attapulgite on the strength, granulation rate, disintegration rate and bulk density of oil cake organic-inorganic compound fertilizer. The findings indicate that when the amount of attapulgite added to the oil cake organic-inorganic compound fertilizer is 0.5%,the particle strength is the highest, with the average value of 8.35 N.At this addition level, the particle granulation rate is 55%and the disintegration rate is 4.34 g/min.
