The production and operation situation of sulfuric acid industry in China in 2023 are introduced.The total production capacity of sulfuric acid is 134.7 million tons,with an increase of 4.0％year-on-year;The capacity is mainly distributed in four major phosphorus resource areas such as Yunnan,Guizhou,Sichuan and Hubei,major chemical provinces such as Shandong and Jiangsu,as well as provinces with a large smelting capacity such as Inner Mongolia,Guangxi and Anhui.The shutdown capacity is 6.72 million tons,with a decrease of 18.0％year-on-year;The total newly built capacity is 7.218 million tons,with an increase of 174.3％year-on-year.The total yield of sulfuric acid is 111.5 million tons,with an increase of 4.2％year-on-year,accounting for 33.2％of the global total yield of sulfuric acid;The average operating rate is 82.8％,with an increase of 0.2 percentage points.The export of sulfuric acid is 2.507 million tons,with a decrease of 31.2％year-on-year;The average export price is 23.8 dollars per ton,with a decrease of 79.6％year-on-year.The import of sulfuric acid is 322 000 tons,with an increase of 17％year-on-year;After excluding high price acids,the average import price is 20.1 dollars per ton,with a decrease of 77.6％year-on-year.The development trend of China's sulfuric acid industry in the future is prospected.
