Research on depressing capability of organophosphonic acid PBTCA in the reverse flotation of magnesium from collophanite
In order to study the depressing capability of small molecule organic phosphonic acid 2-phosphonic acid butane-1,2,4-tricarboxylic acid(PBTCA)and phosphoric acid, the reverse flotation process is used for experimental research until. The experimental results show that small molecule organophosphonic acid PBTCA has strong selective depressing capability. After milled to a fineness of<0.074 mm accounting 60.8%,the pulp is processed by a single reverse flotation process, using once roughing once sweeping process the sequence ore returns to the closed-circuit process, the dosage of sulphuric acid,PBTCA,LAA-D optimized respectively at 12.0,1.0 and 0.9 kg/t added to roughing, the amount of sulphuric acid added to sweeping for 1.0 kg/t,and the obtained concentrate P2O5 content and recovery rate are 31.14%and 96.04%,respectively;The MgO content in the concentrate is 0.85%,and the P2O5 content in the tailings is only 5.06%.The use of PBTCA has better depressing capability than phosphoric acid. The use of PBTCA as a depressant not only improves the beneficiation index, but also reduces the dosage of reagents.
