Affecting factors of material retention in rotary dryer of urea-based compound fertilizer
In response to the retention phenomenon of compound fertilizer particles in the rotary dryer during the drying process of urea based compound fertilizer,a material movement model in the cylinder and the board holding and scattering model are established to study the material movement law and reveal the mass and heat transfer mechanism during the drying process. The main reasons for the retention of urea-based compound fertilizer inside the rotary dryer are as follows:Unreasonable bending board structure, resulting in insufficient and uneven spreading range;Scarring on the board affects the dense phase flow of materials and normal material spraying;Air leakage in the dryer causes a decrease in the flow rate of the drying medium, affecting the axial movement of material particles. It is pointed out that the geometric dimensions of the board can be obtained by variational method to meet the requirements of the drying process, improve drying efficiency, and optimize process production.
