For steelmaking slag with high basicity, selective leaching was adopted to separate the P-bearing mineral phases to achieve the reutilization of residue in this study. In order to promote the P enrichment in 2CaO·SiO2 phase and its dissolution in acidic solution, steelmaking slag was remelted and modified by adding SiO2 or Fe2O3,and the mineral phase transformation and dissolution behavior of each element from slag were studied. The results showed that after remelting, the dissolution ratio of P from slag increased significantly and the dissolution of metal elements was suppressed. When 10%(mass fraction)of Fe2O3 was added, the P2O5 enrichment in the 2CaO·SiO2 phase was promoted. The dissolution ratio of P reached 91.1%and the dissolution ratio of Fe was only 0.27%at pH=2.After leaching, the residue mainly consisted of Fe2O3 and CaO,and its P2O5 content was very low, indicating that remelting and modification was beneficial for selective leaching of P and the residue can be reused as a metallurgical flux.
