In 2022,the annual output of stainless steel crude steel has reached 31.975 million tons, and each ton of crude stainless steel produces 18-33 kg of dust. This type of dust contains a large amount of iron with a mass fraction of about 20%-53%,as well as heavy metal elements such as chromium and nickel, which have great recycling value. In this paper, the stainless steel dust was used for pelleting, and the effects of moisture content, molding pressure, binder type and binder addition on the pellet strength were investigated. It was found that when the water content, molding pressure and sucrose binder were controlled at 8%,20 MPa and 5%,respectively,the drop strength of the wet pellets and dry pellets reached 5.6 times/0.5 m and 12.7 times/2 m,respectively, and the compressive strength of the dry pellets reached 3 314 N,all of which exceeded the industry standard requirements for steelmaking dust and mud pellets.
