Study on the correlation between lipoprotein and left ventricular ejection fraction in patients with myocardial infarction
Objective To investigate the correlation between lipoprotein(Lp)(a)and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)in pa-tients with myocardial infarction. Methods A total of 125 patients diagnosed with myocardial infarction who underwent coronary angi-ography and were admitted to General Hospital of Northern Theater Command from April to June 2023 were selected as the study ob-jects.Patients were divided into two groups based on LVEF:reduced ejection fraction group(LVEF<50%,n=57)and normal ejection fraction group(LVEF≥50%,n=68).The biochemical indexes of the two groups were compared, and the correlation between Lp(a)level and LVEF was analyzed. Results There were no significant differences in the levels of triglyceride, total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein cholesterol and high density lipoprotein cholesterol between the two groups(P>0.05).Lp(a)level was negatively correla-ted with LVEF(r=-0.188,P<0.05).Lp(a)concentration of 106.75 mg/L had the best predictive value for LVEF reduction, with area under the receiver operating characteristic curve 0.652(95%confidence interval 0.556-0.749,P<0.05),sensitivity 93.0%,specificity42.6%.Conclusion Lp(a)level is negatively correlated with LVEF,the higher the Lp(a)level, the lower the LVEF,the worse the heart function and the greater the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with myocardial infarction.
