Evaluation of the feasibility and safety of day ward for percutaneous coronary intervention
Objective To evaluate the feasibility and safety of percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)in day ward. Methods From March 2021 to February 2022,the clinical data of 145 patients(day ward group)admitted to the day ward of General Hospital of North-ern Theater Command with PCI were retrospectively analyzed. At the same time,435 PCI patients(routine hospitalization group)were matched with a ratio of 1∶3.Ischemic events within 12 months after PCI were the primary endpoint, and all-cause death within 12 months after discharge was the secondary endpoint.Baseline data, characteristics of coronary artery disease, interventional surgery, length of stay and incidence of adverse events were compared between the two groups.Kaplan-Meier method was used to analyze the re-lationship between occurrence of endpoint events and time. Results There were no significant differences in baseline data, proportion of radial artery approach, proportion of target vessel location, number of stents, total length of stents, and incidence of adverse events between two groups(P>0.05).The number of days of hospitalization in day ward group was less than that in routine hospitalization group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Within 12 months after discharge, there was no significant difference in the incidence of ischemic events and all-cause death between two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion After preoperative evaluation, the feasibility and safety of PCI in day ward patients are good.
