Diagnostic value of multimodal ultrasound model based on automated breast volume scanner for mass type mastitis and breast malignant tumors
Objective To analyze the diagnostic value of a multimodal ultrasound model based on automatic breast volume scanner(ABVS)for mass type mastitis and breast malignant tumors. Methods The clinical data of 45 female patients(51 masses)who were diagnosed as breast cancer or mass mastitis by ABVS from March to November 2023 in the General Hospital of Northern Theater Com-mand were retrospectively analyzed.Multiple indicators such as ABVS,two-dimensional ultrasound, and elastography were used to com-prehensively evaluate the characteristics of the tumor.Using pathological results as the gold standard, the tumor was divided into malig-nant group(n=31)and inflammatory group(n=20)for univariate analysis.Significant indicators were selected for scoring and summa-rizing,and a multimodal ultrasound diagnostic model was established.Used receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves to analyze the diagnostic performance of different multimodal ultrasound scoring models. Results The results showed that there were statistically significant differences in age, strain ratio(SR),shear wave velocity(SWV)max,SWVmean, microcalcification, convergence sign, and angularity between the inflammatory group and the malignant group(P<0.05).The area under the ROC curve value of the multimodal ultrasound model based on ABVS was higher than that of the SWVmax+SWVmean model,ABVS feature model, and SR model, with sensitivity and specificity of 87.1%and 85.0%,respectively.Conclusion The multimodal ultrasound model based on ABVS has high sensitivity, specificity, and diagnostic value in the diagnosis of mass type mastitis and breast malignant tumors.
