Characteristics of cardiopulmonary exercise test in patients with diabetes after percutaneous coronary intervention
Objective To analyze the characteristics of cardiopulmonary exercise test(CPET)in patients with diabetes mellitus after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).Methods The clinical data of 5 087 post-PCI patients who completed CPET before dis-charge were retrospectively analyzed from February 2016 to December 2021 in the General Hospital of Northern Theater Command.Pa-tients were divided into non-diabetic group(n=3 721)and diabetic group(n=1 366)according to whether they had diabetes or not.The two groups were matched with propensity scores, and the demographic information, past medical history, laboratory test results and CPET related indexes of the two groups were compared. Results After matching, compared with non-diabetic group, the body mass in-dex and glomerular filtration rate in diabetic group were higher(P<0.05),and the peak heart rate, peak kg oxygen uptake, peak meta-bolic equivalent, oxygen ventilation equivalent, peak diastolic blood pressure and serum creatinine level during exercise were lower(P<0.05).Conclusion The cardiopulmonary function of patients with diabetes after PCI is relatively poor.
