Expression level of fibroblast growth factor receptor 1 in patients with non smallcell lung cancer and its clinical significance
Objective To investigate the expression level of fibroblast growth factor receptor 1(FGFR1)in patients with non smallcell lung cancer(NSCLC)and its clinical significance. Methods A total of 108 patients with NSCLC admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Medical University from January 2021 to December 2023 were selected as the study objects.Plasma samples,par-affin specimens of pathological tissue and normal tissues near cancer were collected 3 days before surgery.Enzyme-linked immunoso rbent assay and immunohistochemistry were used to detect FGFR1 levels in plasma, pathological tissue and adjacent normal tissue of patients, and the correlation between plasma FGFR1 levels and pathological tissue FGFR1 double score semi-quantitative score was analyzed, and the clinicopathological characteristics of patients with different FGFR1 expression in pathological tissues were compared. All patients received cisplatin chemotherapy for at least 6 cycles and were followed for a median of 18 months.Patients were divided into a progressive group and a control group according to whether they progressed after chemotherapy.Plasma FGFR1 levels were compared between the two groups, and receiver operating characteristic curves were drawn to analyze the predictive value of plas-ma FGFR1 for disease progression in NSCLC after cisplatin chemotherapy. Results The plasma FGFR1 level of 108 NSCLC patients was(7.69±3.12)μg/L.The high expression rate of FGFR1 in pathological tissues was higher than that in adjacent normal tissues, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was a significant positive correlation between plasma FGFR1 level and pathological tissue FGFR1 double score semi-quantitative score(r=0.639,P<0.001).There were significant differences in pathologi-cal classification,TNM stage, smoking proportion and lymph node metastasis between patients with high and low FGFR1 expression(P<0.05).There were 41 patients in the progressive group and 67 in the control group. The plasma FGFR1 level in the progressive group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The area under the curve of plasma FGFR1 was 0.757 in predicting the disease progression of NSCLC after cisplatin chemotherapy, which had certain predictive value(P<0.05).Conclusion FGFR1 expression is abnormally high in NSCLC pathological tissues, and its expression level is signifi-cantly positively correlated with plasma FGFR1 level of patients.FGFR1 expression in pathological tissues is corr-elated with clinicopathologic characteristics of patients, and plasma FGFR1 has certain predictive value for disease progression of NSCLC after cisplatin chemotherapy.
